Bull Trout:
Alberta’s Provincial fish, this large native trout once dominated the rivers here, but slow reproduction rates and overharvest lead to this species being put at risk. A noticeable increase is evident today and Bull Trout are now reaching large sizes and numbers are increasing. Several streams are known for containing large Bull Trout, particularly the Oldman River & Livingstone River. Expect to see some hitting the 20-30 inch range.
